Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response sometimes seen in abducted hostages, in which the hostage shows signs of loyalty to the hostage-taker, regardless of the danger or risk in which they have been placed. In our story Lara gets a letter from her long missing friend Suzie. Lara is asked to take Esther to rescue Suzie, who is held as a captive in ‘the castle of pain’.
