She is forced to choose between standing on her toes or hanging by her arms when the pole is finally raised and the timer is turned on, both positions causing exclamations of pain. I remind her of the conditions of our wager as the timer slowly advances. that I can keep her there for at least ten minutes, but there has undoubtedly never been an upper limit.
